Our Mission - Every Family Deserves Nutritious Food

At in His Hands Food Pantry, we believe that access to healthy, nutritious food is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Every family deserves not only to eat, but to eat well, to feel respected, and to have the freedom to make choices that reflect their needs, culture, and preferences.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of our neighbors by uplifting them through the access nutritious food and essential items in a nonjudgemental, supportive environment. Our mission is grounded in the belief that every person deserves the ability to decide what they eat. We strive to create an environment where individuals and families can access nutritious food without judgement, while also having the freedom to chose the items that best meet their needs and preferences, restoring a sense of dignity and autonomy. That's why we operate as a free-choice pantry.

Not only do families receive the basics, but they are invited to shop for themselves. They are able to shop from a variety of food, clothes and household items, selecting what works best for their households. This model restores something that is often lost during times of hardship : Autonomy.

When families are able to decide what goes on their table, something shifts. They experience something that is less about re eiving help, and are able to regain control and confidence.

This is what matters, because food is more than sustenance. It's health, stability, and connection. It fuels children so they can learn, supports individuals and parents as they work towards stability. But just as importantly, it reminds people that they are seen, respected and valued.

This work is made possible through the generosity and hardwork of our volunteers, donrs , and community partners. Together, we are building more than a pantry but a space where everyone is welcomed with respect and no one feels judged.

At In His Hands Food Pantry, we believe that every person deserves not only to be fed, but to be empowered.
